The Little Barn
Post Road
A local restaurateur invited us to create a family pub environment out of a fast food location. Originally a Dairy Queen the building while not real maintained a playful charm. Seizing on the gambrel roof we embraced the barn stage set ad decided to take it up a notch perhaps inspired as a playful nod to 1980s postmodernism. Antique barn vents proportionately big were placed atop of “seasoned “ corrugated roofing.
The plan was reworked and expanded and sheathed with recycled barn siding under the existing roof to allow the new bar to breathe and creating a connection to the new outdoor patio . The interior was stripped away to expose more of the framing much like your converted garage.
